Outfit: Christmas Gift Guide

Outfit: Christmas Gift Guide

It's been a long time since we've shared an outfit post, but I figured these photos my friend Mitch shot of me were the perfect occasion to share some tips on transition wear and a little Christmas gift guide. New York weather can vary pretty drastically day to day from September to December, so I like to dress in layers, usually pairing my favorite overknee boots with pants on colder days and skirts on warmer ones. Stripes paired with a camel blazer or coat is one of my all time favorite polished looks. If you're still looking for some Christmas gifts shop my favorite picks for under $200 below (including overknee suede boots for 129! ). Or to just treat yourself, I certainly won't judge! What are you buying for your friends and family members?

A couple days ago someone asked me what my favorite building in NYC was and I realized I'd never put a lot of thought into it, but quickly decided it simply had to be …

Remnants of Autumn

Remnants of Autumn

Sometimes New York surprises us with incredibly mild weather, but this December has been above and beyond mild. I've been told it's been warmer than San Diego this year, but I'm not going to question it and embrace this second round of autumn. It's my all time favorite season after all and no city does fall better than New York. Although I'm in the midst of finals week right now, I had to take some breaks to stroll around and enjoy the beautiful weather last weekend to capture the last remnants of autumn in the prettiest corners of the city, not to mention to make use of my last opportunity to wear sleeveless coats and eat breakfast outside this year.

Multitasking is so from Yesterday

Multitasking is so from Yesterday

The trouble with multitasking is not that it is not possible, it is its result: continuous partial attention and a waste of time!

This year I was invited to a few fashion week parties for the first time and this was what I wore to the rewardStyle pool party last Sunday.

The farm to table cuisine movement has been around for a while now, but there always seems to be room for another entry and Cafe Clover is no exception. I've eaten here for brunch and dinner and was impressed by the level of flavor in every dish, not to mention the attention to detail, especially when it comes to interior design. During the weekend you might even struggle with getting a table, as seemingly all of New York's foodies congregate here. My personal favorites include the avocado toast, granola and hemp biscuits (I can never say no to a good biscuit with butter and jam) on the brunch menu and the risotto and the burrata on the dinner menu.

Manhattan Sunset

Manhattan Sunset

One of my favorite things about being on instagram, is being able to meet new and incredibly talented people. I also really love walking (people usually think the distances I walk in New York on a daily basis are absolutely insane), so I'm also up for walking over the bridges between Brooklyn and Manhattan. Out of all the bridges, the Manhattan Bridge is definitely my favorite for its views of downtown Manhattan. Two weeks ago I met Bethany, Cory and Cubby and we walked over the bridge at sunset to take pictures. The weather here in New York is still kind of unstable so I always make sure I have a thin jacket with me, not to mention my lovely new hat by Janessa Leone.
